My Skincare Routine – Dry Skin

dry skinAvoiding  Dry Skin

Hey everyone! So I decided to upload my own skincare routine! I made one a LONG time ago… but thought it was a waste of time to upload it (it takes a lot of time to upload). So I made a new and updated one. I decided to make it ’cause my skin was dry and flakier than ever! I think it’s because it’s still a mix of winter/spring. My allergies have also acted up resuming my Spring Breakout. Enjoy!

What is a good product or remedy for flaky skin?

Searching for Flaky Skin Remedy

I actually have pretty good skin. It doesn’t seem dry but there’s little flaky parts around and on my nose and on my cheeks. Moisturizer makes it disappear at first but doesn’t really help. It sometimes reappears when I put foundation or makeup on my face and if not, it does after wearing the makeup flaky skinfor a few hours.. If there’s nothing I can do that’s okay. But let me know what you think.

Dealing with Flaky Skin

That happens to my skin too!! It’s really annoying and if I let it go, it gets itchy. I use “BODY BUTTER” and if your skin is still flaky, use “AQUAFORE” I’m not positive of the spelling but it’s pronounced, aqua- for … aqua (like water) + for (like the number)!!

The only big difference is that you can buy body butter in different smells and the aquafore all smells the same and it has more oils for making the skin not flake!! Hope that it helped!!! =)

Understanding What Causes Dandruff

Dandruff is a problem that plagues many people all over the world. It is a common hair condition that generally arises from itchy or oily scalp. There are other medical conditions that can directly or indirectly lead to the same problem. However, due to the many possible causes, it is often difficult to diagnose the source of the condition.

As a result the treatments can be varied and wide, while requiring some to go through a few methods before finding one that completely eradicates their problem. Before one knows what to try, some consultation is necessary to determine the type of dandruff that is being experienced.

As mentioned, the most common cause is having itchy scalp. This can indirectly be a result of having dry or oily scalp. When the skin is in a dry condition, the result is that it is easily irritable and the urge to scratch is hard to ignore.

If one experiences oily scalp, the problem can be even worse. Oil that is secreted by the glands will accumulate near the hair roots. This in turn traps the dust and dirt from one’s surrounding. A very unhygienic hair environment is then created which leads to bacteria and germs and resultant itchiness.

Trying too hard to keep the scalp clean can also lead to the unexpected case of flaky skin. Excessive washing will irritate the scalp and lead either to dryness or oiliness. This depends on the type of shampoo used. Moderation should be practiced.

An uncomfortable weather climate can also contribute to one developing dandruff. If your hair scalp tends to be oily, living in a warm country usually means a lot of perspiration. This can cause reddish looking scalp and even infection.

There is also an yeast-like fungus that can lead to this embarrassing hair problem. Malassezia is actually present in most individual’s hair. But if it is not controlled, they will thrive in the oily hair follicles. This leads to layers of dead skin cells and another form of dandruff.

Many other causes can lead to this hair condition, such as eczema and psoriasis. Prevention might be the best instead of waiting for a problem to rear its ugly head. However, if the situation worsens, it is always advisable to consult a dermatologist and attempt the various cures under supervision.
